Re: Ladder Sight?
Check Brownell's or Buffalo Arms.
They have the Smith ladder sight. Kinda pricey but they are very nice and work very well.
I have one on my Winchester Legacy 26" octagon 30-30. My Son has one on his Marlin 1895 26" Cowboy 45-70. He replaced his stock front sight with a Lyman Globe sight.

I think I got this one from Dixie. It's made by Pedersoli.

If you want one to go on the receiver, Skinner sights has one. He doesn't have it on his website (last I looked) but does have it on his picture site. PM me and I can send pictures on mine.
Re: Ladder Sight?
Here's one of the older brass Skinner sights on my CB:

He makes a newer one that has a low mounted peep on the leaf that is used when the ladder is folded down.

Yup, that's it. I don't have the crossbolt safety, that fell off pretty quick. And you've got a lot prettier wood than mine.
My son likes the sight, said it looks very steampunk-ish.
Skinner guy is good folks. I'd deal with him anytime.

Re: Ladder Sight?
I got one of those, and either couldn't learn how to use it or didnt' have luck with it. Everytime I shot, it would go out of (vertical) adjustment. I traded for a tanger with someone on the forum, I hope it worked out for him.Don McDowell wrote:http://www.buffaloarms.com/browse.cfm/2,231.html
