Thanks for the laugh. His seller name is "Swifterthanyou" Me thinks he is about as swift as molasses in winter. The auction id says 45 caliber but the description lists it as 44. So........ what is it, an upside down 45? Does that make it a 44?
You know, instead of a 4473 to own a firearm, how about an IQ test?

It gets worse and worse.
Look at his other auctions. He has a .22 Henry for sale also, and it has the stock on right side up. Most people who are swifter than I am would have noticed the incongruity.
He says he fired the .44/.45 200 times like that. From the hip, I presume, unless his real name is Jim Peckerneck.

OK, OK, I made the jump.
I find it real hard to believe it left the factory like that & that he actually shot the gun that way.I have never taken the gun down all the way for any reason but have been diligent in cleaning immediatly after each use. All of my guns are stored in a safe w/ dehumidifier after protecting all blued steel prior to putting away. Thanx for the heads up and good shooting, Jim

If he did, that might explain selling it cause I'm sure it whacked the snot out of him.Leverdude wrote:I find it real hard to believe it left the factory like that & that he actually shot the gun that way.I have never taken the gun down all the way for any reason but have been diligent in cleaning immediatly after each use. Pete, you're right, never looked at it that way!

I cannot believe Henry, of all companies, could possibly let one put together bassackwards out of the factory. If he didn't take it all the way down someone did. How is the world could he not notice it was different than the rest of his collection he mentions he is selling?

I don't believe it would fit in the box from the factory.

...dare I say it?...
I might get a spanking for this, but here goes:
The upsidedown stock is a secret sign, to those "in-the know", that the seller is "in-the-know".
Seriously, people complain about the stock-drop on the Big Boys, but this is the mother of all stock-drops!

I sent SwifterThanYou an FYI email and this was his reply:
"Again have not idea what the cataloq states however, I purchased it this way new from a dealer on Gunbroker. com about two years ago, and have never taken it down completely for any reason."
Now we know there are at least 2 real "Swifter than you's" on GB.

I think that.........If anyone shot it like that - whether the factory (Monday/Friday gun) or he owner installed the stock - It would slam the shooter's face hard enough, that he would immediately sell the gun !
I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole, thinking "what else"could be screwed around with, inside ?
Unless, of course, that is exactly the plan of the seller - who may not want to sell the gun, but is being pressured to.
