i walked by the TV a while ago and noticed mom was watching Oprah. her guest was Raquel Welch.

At the age of 69, Raquel is still drop dead gorgeous!

She certainly looks better than any 69 year-old woman I've ever known!

Yea, she is a beauty, but its all fake.................take away those 14 face & body lifts, give her her natural hair color, then take her clothes off, well, she will look just like any other 69 year old woman.

Remember, she got all that money from little people watching her trashy movies, which incidently, takes little talent---nothing like a brain surgeon or any doctor.

As far as I'm concerned, she or any of the Hollywood crowd deserves no mention here.

Man! I'm just feeling very nasty today. sorry--------------------------not really-----------Sixgun

Sixgun, I didn't see you complaining about Raquel being mentioned here when Hobie posted that photo of her wearing only a gunbelt and a serape, holding an ugly English revolver.

A raving beauty!
They had a show on her life, and they said she was actually extremely smart!
Just cuddling up next to her by a warm fireplace watching 1,000,000 years BC would be too much for me to handle.Especially if she did those grunting noises! :D
I would be choking on my popcorn.

She is awesome even now! God Bless Women!

Welch Hits Out At Plastic Surgery Trend
Veteran beauty RAQUEL WELCH is upset with the number of women who succumb to temptation and undergo plastic surgery to look younger. The FANTASTIC VOYAGE actress believes women should shun reconstruction and love themselves for who they are. She says, "It's so sad that people torture themselves to look half their age. If you sit there examining your body with a magnifying glass you find many little imperfections but no one else notices them. "And they're outweighed by the sexiness and confidence you develop as an older woman."

I don't know about the plastic surgery, and I'm not interested enough to buy her autobiography, entitled Beyond the Cleavage to find out.

I still think she is gorgeous and looks better than most women half her age. However she did say that it took "threee hours" in the makeup artist's chair to get her looking like that.

This kind of reminds me of the story a guy told me about when years ago, in the 60's he went to an Elvis concert. When they were walking out an old woman who looked to be in her 60's herself turned to her companion and said "well, he can eat crackers in my bed anytime."

you know I get a kick out of watching "Grumpier Old Men" because Sofia Loren also looks fabulous at an equivalent age.

Didn't Raquel fall off a stage at one time?

Better watch ot now! If you get Sixgun started dissing Sophia Loren, Taffin is liable to show up and give him down the road. Taffin has a thing for Sophia.

She's certainly a fine looking woman regardless of her age.

It was Ann Margaret who fell off a stage during a performance. IIRC she was pretty badly banged up in the fall. That girls sure brought lots of smiles to the boys in Vietnam during the Bob Hope Christmas Tours. I believe she went with Bob three or four different times.

She didn't fall off the stage in my town but my town is so small the stage takes the bypass nowdays.

I left my body to her in my will to use as she sees fit then had my attorney write a letter to her urging her to take advantage of the offer now as I'm pretty hard on myself and there probably won't be much worthwhile left when I pass.

Raquel, Sophia and fine wine have a lot in common.

Yes, Rocky's dad is from Bolivia and that is what give her that sultry Latin look. I have had a serious crush on her since the mind of man rememberth not.

She didn't fall of that stage, that was Gloria Estevan. Rocky has a serious car wreck and lots of surgery to put everything back where it belongs.

Surgery or not, Rocky still has my heart. Sorry Sixgun, but that is the way it is!

If grandma looked that good after 3 hours at the hairdressers... granpa would probably invest in "blue pills" and take his blood pressure meds........

Ms Welch did a made for TV movie about 15 years ago... she washes up on an island or some drivel. That would have made her late 50's then..... most of the thing was shot with her in a bathing suits of a sort.

I don't think they could do enough "trick photography" to make most wormen look that good in that little... that girl has a lot of "what mamma gave her"

Unlike the current crop, she was one of many who toured 'Sunny Southeast Asia' with Hope and others. Not too many of the current ones seem to do that as much now. Ann Margaret was another trooper with Hope. I never saw any of them as I was where they weren't!

I saw Bob Hope and Gloria Estevan in Korea in 1988. Gloria is not too bad looking, but Raquel is better. I still think very well of Gloria for being there, as well as Brooke Shields. All of the Stars who give the shows to servicemen deserve a lot of credit.

Raquel might be old enough to be my mother, but she is still nice looking.
