FYI: Transporting thru Las Vegas & Clark County, Nv.

Post by LeverBob »

Just finished my Quals to renew my CCW today. (Both hands). Shot at My own range just south of Fernley, Nv. (Mustang Range... Armed & Safe...on the web).

The classroom data included info on transporting thru Clark County, Nv. Our efforts in the last legislative session have produced good changes in the Nevada laws.

For all of you who visit the area around Las Vegas. The law regarding registration is only applied to residents. If you are transporting a firearm thru the county, you are NOT required to register your firearm with the county or city.

If you want further clarification, I would be more than happy to supply such if you email me, including NRS laws for you to refer to.

Great news!

Thanks, Bob. I've already noticed that the 2nd Ammendment doesn't require it anywhere, either.

I couldn't agree more...I guess we'll boil the frog just like the enemy...via incrementalism. Eventually we will get rid of the obscentities one step at a time.

Hopefully Pete, we won't have a major fight these next 4 yrs. But, if'n we do...we'll just up the efforts a few notches.

Bill,
Welcome to the forum .....

Don't you mean "Clark" county? "Cook" County is in N.E. Illinois with Chicago.

Like Joe says...it's Clark county, home of all the despots in Nevada. Someday we'll clean out that rats nest.

You betcha pard!. Your CCW is honored here.

If'n any of you come up to my place in the future unarmed, I'll throw that person off the place. If'n y'all come carrying & totin' a lever, I'll buy you a steak! If'n y'all come with the above on horseback, you can stay with me whenever you want.

Joe & Griff...special friends.
