Here is a picture of me at my daughter's wedding reception:

While the deer hunter pictured bears some resemblance to me, I can honestly say I have never hunted Whitetail deer, and for that matter I have never even seen one on the hoof! However if I ever did hunt whitetails, that's what would most likely take place for me too!

I have that very picture framed along with my hunting license and my deer tag when I got skunked one year and didn't get a deer.

Ashamed to admit, that was me last year. The only deer I saw woke me up and left before I could shoot.

That is why I hate to sit still when hunting. I think some of us have an OFF switch on our posteriors so that when we sit, we turn off.

That probably resembles several of us more times than we would willingly admit. I will admit to "napping in the leaves" on more than one occasion while squirrel hunting. You know, sitting by the base of a tree on a cold morning and the sun begins to rise and warm things up a bit, and the rest is history.

I dozed off many times while sitting in my treestand bowhunting. Another good reason for always wearing a safety belt!
