OT - Unhappy Cat
I'll probably go to Hell for this, and I should apologize a forehand to J Miller and the like, but I'm sorry, I just found this funny.
Cat Washing Machine
It's like you can see his face, "Hey, what's that water,....WHERE'S THE DOOR,...I'VE BEEN DUPED,...AAARRRGGGHHHHH.....!
Now, I have a cat and wouldn't wish this on him, but I've met some that I would like to try it on. I just bet he was one unhappy puss after that.
Please don't send nastygrams. You'll have to admit, that's got to be the best way to wash a cat.

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
I normally just tie a rope around the cat's neck and tow it behind the boat for about 20 minutes...
Just kidding.
Seriously, whoever designed that is a disturbed individual. I hate cats as much as anyone, but that's no way to be treated. I guess we can always invent a machine to do our dirty work. We wash our pets by hand around here.
Now...if I could get one of those machines for Grandma.....

I'd like to be around when they went to put the cat in for a second bath. I'd be standing way back.

If I did that to my cats I would have to check my slippers for steamers.

I can think of no better use for a cat.
I would put one of these things at the mall (cat pre-installed) and charge kids a quarter to point and laugh.

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
Personally ... I would not do such an underhanded, dirty, rotten, mean, thing to a cat. Not even a stray.
However ...... I have seen my wife fight to bathe some of ours, and I can't tell who's screaming the loudest. Her or the cat. Especially when she comes out the bathroom bleeding from multiple puncture and scratch wounds.
So, I can understand the concept. Unfortunately the cat will get even with his/her tormentor.

well I think y'all are misinterpreting what you're seeing. I laughed so hard I had to rerun it several times, but by now I'm convinced that the cat was jumping for joy. yupper, that's exactly what a joyful cat looks like. put another quarter in that thing and wind 'er up again.

Hey, I figure they should put the owner in there with the cat. I bet the stitching required would insure they never did it again.

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
That reminds me:
"A little son of a Baptist minister was in church one morning when he saw for the first time the rite of baptism by immersion. He was greatly interested in it, and the next morning proceeded to baptize his three cats in the bathtub.
The kitten bore it very well, and so did the young cat, but the old family cat rebelled. It struggled with him, clawed and tore him and got away. With considerable effort he caught it again and proceeded with the ceremony.
But she acted worse than ever, clawed at him, spit, and scratched his hands and face.
Finally, after barely getting her splattered with water, he dropped her on the floor in disgust and said: “Fine, be a Methodist.”

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
I wouldn't want to try that again with the same cat. You would probably look like you ran into a Veg-O-Matic. For as dumb as they are, cats can learn, and that is one thing they would learn to fight to keep away from.

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
At one time we had cats. A Bengal and a Pixie Bob. The Pixe Bob was a great cat. The Bengal was another story.
One day the wife said we needed to bath them. Bob was no problem. The Bengle Sadie was a terror. Scraches and blood all over the place all mine.
Told my wife the cat bath was over or I would bath a drowned cat.
Now we have birds and dogs.

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
If you've got to clean a cat for whatever reason, that seems to be the way to go right there. I've never understood where house cat's got their attitude about remaining dry at all costs. Most cats seem to go insane when they get wet. I mean, not once they're wet but during the actual wetting process.

"Domesticated"? Cats aren't domesticated. They are just smart enough to figure out how to manipulate people into provide food and shelter for very little return. But I wouldn't trade any of mine. How can you say no to this face.deerwhacker444 wrote:This is still the all time best..!

No fair. I could see the ending coming from a mile away (as I ate my beef and elbow noodles concoction my lovely wife made for supper.) I still ended up with macaroni hanging out of my nose.deerwhacker444 wrote:This is still the all time best..!

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
I'm surprised that no one tossed a wet cat into a micro-wave to dry it off?

Re: OT - Unhappy Cat
Most cats do best with dry cleaning if they smell. A little percholoroethylene sptayed on the fur... oh wait... wrong method. That's for fur coats...
Rubbing baking soda into your cat's fur then brushing it out works well.
I've found that if you MUST wet a cat, wrap it in a towel then submerge it up to the neck, but leave the head dry. Like was saig, BEING wet isn't the problem as much as GETTING wet. Once kitty is wet, you can use kitty shampoos etc, then rinse by resubmerging the towel-wrapped kitty then massaging the towel/fur a bit before releasing kitty - usually into an inclosed shower stall - to let it get mostly dry...
