SIX GUNS...!

- Don't tell the '
officials'...!
Here's our "Marlin Family" collection from a recent Thanksgiving dinner of various family members...(we usually gather for the celebration at someone's rural home, and shoot a few targets, get the 'city kids' a chance to handle firearms, and generally have a good time).
But then, there's several of my OWN firearms that I'm sure would give the local constables angina...

WOW !
That is sure some family line up - I have sent your picture to my folks (and some friends !) over here in England - I am VERY envious !
I love my leverguns & also shoot a Ruger Old Army Revolver - which is a close as I can get to my pistol days (pre 1997) when they took all our pistols off of us - I had thirteen pistols including a Broomhandle Mauser & a Luger alongside my Python/Ruger/Uberti Cattleman/Glock/Smith & Wesson 44Mag 8 3/8" barrel etc etc I recently added a Sabre Defence AR15 - as I fancied something a little different - but unlike your semis - ours are straight pull single shot due to the law -
GRRRRRRR !
Nate (Steve) - thanks for the heads up too on the numbers - I guess this looks like a 1999/2000 gun from what you & some of the other guys have suggested ..................... and yes - I'll be in touch shortly about getting a spring kit & some tune up goodies from you
I have folks in Mason Ohio & usually pick up my 'purchases' when we come to visit - but the next planned visit is Thanksgiving & I'm not sure I can wait that long
Thanks for all your help guys - I have logged in once in a while & must make sure I log in more often - nice 'atmosphere' here - but I find I usually leave frustrated with both the UKs firearms policy & our pricing !!
To give you an idea - on new Marlin Cowboys (Octag barrel) - the retail price is
£1100 (thats about $1600 USD !!!!!!!!!) - a few dealers are selling at around £900 (but that is still £1350 USD) new Rossi's are around £450 (about $670 USD) and that price is just about to go up.
No-one seems to be selling used Marlins in the UK - and if one does come up - theres a loooooong queue of guys waiting to buy it !
I just missed a little ported 357 that had around a 16 1/2" barrel - the guy was selling at £385 GBP & I though "I don't need it - I have a 357" - the guy that bought it resold it a month later at £550 GBP !!! ($820 UDS) - but I suppose the difference is - I wouldn't have sold it - mine are keepers !
Both my Marlins were bought as used guns around 10 years back & I wish I had been able to see how it was going to go - as I would have bought everything I wanted as soon as I could & not waited - as Homer says
"DOH !"
Keep up the good work guys
Roy
