I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but the action feels really smooth right out of the box and the quality of the fit and finish looks pretty impressive. If it shoots as good as it looks, I'll be very happy.

Yeah, I totally forgot to mention the ladder sight.gak wrote:Regarding features, you forgot to mention the period correct ladder sight--shared with their other 92 carbines. Our very own NKJ has been working with the Chiappa folks on the new 86 model--to make it right out of the chute. It wouldn't surprise me if they've also taken some feedback on the 92s to improve some of the bits he found wanting on early examples.

I saw the gun on GunBroker advertised from a gunshop in Ohio.
The seller was asking $800 but I negotiated with him and was able to get it for $750 (including shipping).
Going through GunBroker also enabled me to buy the gun without having to pay state taxes.
All in all, I was able to save over $100, so I'm pretty happy.
The gun has all the features I was looking for, right out of the box!
Thanks Dennis!DPris wrote:Chiappa 92 here has a single-hole "staple".
