new guy...howdy
my first post here....my names Mike and i spend most of my time over at GBO....great bunch of guys. I'm here to learn what i can about leverguns. Don't have a big levergun collection, just one, a 1942 M94 32 Special carbine. My grandfather gave me the m94 when i was 12 yrs old....now i'm 58. First time i ever fired the gun(at 12 yrs old) i killed a 5 pt Pennsylvania whitetail. My rifle wears a Lyman tang sight with a post type front sight painted white so this old man can see it well.I'm a young old coot...rifle calibers i own are 357 mag,45LC,30-30, 32 special and i have one rifle that's one of them pointy-ended new fangled cartridges...let me read it real quick.....30-06 Springfield.....Mike

Welcome - quite a story and you have one of the top guns and a great experience to go with it. My mother grew up near Wilkes Barre in the small town of Glen Lyon.

Welcome Zoner....
...and don't be ashamed of that ol' -06. For one, it can be found in a classic levergun if you can afford it...a Winchester 1895. Second, it's an old cartridge. That makes it cool.
Besides, if it goes bang, it's welcome here.

Welcome. Stick around and you will find a great bunch of people with whom to associate. I have even had the privilege of meeting some of them in person, and have liked each and every one I have met.

Welcome to the fire. And what a great rifle to be bringing to the fire.
