I DON'T know for sure, but the .45-70 brass IS shorter, due to using such a long-ogive that the bullet isn't up to bore diameter at the front of the normal case. So, I would think the same situation would arise in the .450, but can't tell you for sure. Unless you want to have two crimping setups, I'd not use Hornady cases, or I'd use ALL Hornady cases.

Unless someone else has come out with 450 ammo lately "Hornady" is the only game in town whether it be LE cases or standard length cases !

yep, Hornady is the only game around I can find.

I was told the Leverevolution brass was about .050 shorter due to the nose length of the FTX bullets.

Yes LeverRv. brass for the .450m is shorter than standard.

I measured a standard, once fired case and got 2.085" and
a loded LevEv case @ 2.040" roughly.

I haven't been able to see much difference from my rifle between the two.

I did find the 30-30 LE to be very accurate from my Savage 99.
