On their website, they instruct you to mail the receiver and forend directly to them. Fine.
However, for the return, isn't it ilegal for them to ship to a non-FFL holder?

Nope....just as a gunsmith can receive & ship directly to customers, so can manufacturers when it comes to warranty work or post sales work.

Yep no problem reciving the rifle from a manufacturer.
If your handi's trigger needs improvement, ask them if there is anything they can do, mine came back with the cleanest 3.5# break.

That's also the cheapest way going to get yerself a .45-70 BC. Start with something else and have them fit the barrel.
