Whining about snow?

Post by Hobie »

So you want to whine about the snow? SO YOU WANT TO WHINE ABOUT LAST WEEKS STORM
PHOTOS OF LEAD, SD AND DEADWOOD, SD SNOW STORM LAST WEEK
LEAD,SD - 52INS,
DEADWOOD,SD - 48INS,
50 TO 76 MPH WINDS.

No shooting but apparently "skinny dipping" continued...

Now for the disclaimer, I got this from Terry Murbach. I wasn't there. Don't "skinny dip", at least not anymore and certainly not with a camera present.

Wow! My Dad reports about 5' in his yard in Flagstaff, and cannot see his street from his house. We have yet to get a big snow here in the North East. Feel for you guys in the thick of it.

Mr. Murbach is not kidding. He lives across town from me but out on the otherside of town where I live, well just look at the pictures. That one is my neighbor and I discussing snow removal. The drift I am standing on is about 6ft high and blocking the road. This is why you keep the pantry full during the winter. And the garage full of beer of course.

Here in the desert we are glad to get snow that hangs around until spring. Why because that is this years water. Back east you don't have that issue yet but out here snow is very important each year for water the next year.
Where I am we get maybe 6 inches but north of me about an hours drive they get it in feet and that is just to much for me at my old age but if I can have an enclosed cab diesel powered snow blower with heat and a good radio I can learn to enjoy winter again.
