Model 94 Legendary Lawman Trapper in 30-30
Can anyone tell me when these were made or where I can get that information. I recently purchased one new in the box. It is very well made, with beautiful feather crotch figured walnut. The bluing is deep blue on all the metal with the possible exception of the mag tube. The mag tube is slightly lacking on final polish before bluing. The action is smooth with no slop and it shoots 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 50 yards with the right loads. It really like Barnes 150 grain TSX bullets. I know, no pictures yet, but I will try to take a few and post them later. I would like to find out when it was made however. Thanks!

My Winchester Commemoratives book says 1978. They made 19,999 in New Haven. Nice carbine!

Sounds like a really nice Trapper. I wish I was up on those commemoratives. I'm more into what makes them tick than when they were made.
Looking forward to pics when you get them.

Now that is NICE! Love that wood. Right kind of rear sight too. Looks as good as it shoots don't it?
Mine's just a plain blued one. But it shoots really good too, that's the important part.

Except for that wart of a Williams sight, that is a beautiful firearm.

The Legendary Lawman is one of my favourite comemmoratives. Bought mine a copuple of years ago, still NIB. At least you shoot yours, mines a safe queen

Thank you gentlemen. I was going to keep it as NIB and decided it was just too pretty not to take it out to the range and the deer camp.
