The 2011 levergunner's Calendar: Encouraging News

Post by KirkD »

Boys, when word got out that I didn't have a 2010 calendar because I didn't have enough old guns to photograph this year, a major collector who lives only a half hour away got in touch with me. He has an amazing collection of old Marlins, Winchesters, and other old rifles that gets a fellow all weak and shaky when he sees them. Anyway, the collector said I could pick out a bunch and take them home to photograph later this year when the snow goes away. I've got enough old leverguns lined up to provide calendar photos for the next 10 years at least. I'll let you all know later in the fall when the calendar is ready.

Kirk, let me know when ready- I want one! (perhaps a custom one heavy on the Marlins!).

The fellow has enough beautiful Marlins that I could easily do a whole calendar on vintage Marlins. Not sure the Winchester fellows would be happy, though. I'll plan to put in a mixture, but there will be at least 4 or 5 months featuring old Marlins, with another month or two with vintage sixguns and another few months with old Winchesters.

Why wait 'til the snow's gone? It'd be quite appropriate to have 'em with a snowy background for a few months in the year. :)

I'm glad you are back in the game! My brother-in-law (an occasional Leverguns reader) heard me moaning about facing withdrawal symptoms from not having your excellent calendar this year, so he spared me by giving me with a beautiful Cabela's gun calendar for Christmas.

But I'll be looking forward to your calendar next year!
