Re: 32-20 loads?
Lyman 311008 bullet over 7 gr. 2400 is a very accurate plinking load in my Uberti 73 and does just super in my Browning 53.
I would have to check my notes on the jacketed load I use in the 53 but it has shot 1/2" 5 shot groups at 50yd with it. Later

Re: 32-20 loads?
I'm in the process of getting my BPCR components together, but once I do, I'll be getting components together for my Browning 53. I've shot some Remington's through it, but they're extremely anemic and not that accurate. I know I can do better handloading.
Chuck, did you slug your bore? I haven't slugged mine and I'd like an idea of where it's at.

I picked up my Marlin in September and didn't get to play with it much. I used Brian Pierce's loads from Handloader. 100 gr Hornady's XTP 's with 13 gr of H110 gives it around 1900fps. I never chronied them so I'm not sure of their velocity.

For my 1917 1892 Winchester 24 inch rifle 32-20 I load an 85gr. XTP with 8.7 gr. of 2400 for just under1400 fps. I load the 100gr. XTP with 11 gr. of 5744 at about 1400 fps. Both loads are minute of feral cat with great success.

Re: 32-20 loads?
In My Marlin CL, 115gr Lazercast over 10 gr of 2400 go thru the Chrony about 1750fps. Hornady 100gr XTP's over 14.5gr of H110 run around 2100fps. I have loaded the Lazercast with 7625 from 800-1300fps. these two bullets would do anything I would want from the 32-20. this rifle is a favorite of Mine.

big bear
Get some starline brass in 32-20 it will last much longer then anyone else's. I shoot 115 grain lead in mine but can't remember the powder charge as I am working up loads and powders as time permits. With the lack of powder available one has to adapt to what you can get.

Re: 32-20 loads?
I have some loads for my 1894CL. One thing I've found out is that RIFLE primers work better in some brass. This is because at least some brass has primer pockets a bit deep for the pistol primers. Oh, they'll seat but they might be a bit too deep to be reliably struck by the firing pin. That is a definite bummer!

Re: 32-20 loads?
kimwcook , I did not slug my bore.
What a lazy butt I can be huh?
It likes the 311008 sized to .314 though and shoots those .312 dia. Speer 100 gr. Jacketed bullets into tiny little bug holes of 1/2" with 5 or 10 or as many as you wish to fire at 50yd.
I loaded the same 7.0 gr 2400 with the Speer 100`s for 1140 fps.
I know you can get a whole lot more out of the little .32 but WHY?
Like Terry M. said, It`s a reloadable .22 Mag. and my .30-30`s shoot cast real good at 1500-1600 fps. So why would I want to duplicate what they do with the 53 and just have in effect another .30-30 in my safe.
Hobie, I use small rifle primers in my Star Line .32-20 brass with good results.
You are going to love that little 53 after you shoot it. The only thing you will want to change is to put one of Nate`s ejector springs in it to make it easy on the brass.

Re: 32-20 loads?
Just shot it, it's like eating peanuts ( in my case cashews) what a fun little rifle, 1" groups at 50yds with remington store boughts, head shots on grouse Who loads cast bullets for theirs? I'm getting some 115 grain plain base cast bullets made up...
