Sad Day

Post by Wes »

A friend of mine will be burried today. He was a passenger in a pickup that rolled off the road on some ice. Broke his neck and he was paralyzed from his chin down. His family made the decision to let him pass away (which I think was right and took incredible strength) and not prolong his suffering. He was a veterinarian in Evanston, WY and grew up in Lyman. Don you may or may not remember Kay Gross, it was his son Steve.
Left behind a wife and two boys. He was 45.

You and the family are in our prayers here Wes. Tis a hard time of the year for burying.

I know... I've buried a father, a father in law and two daughters right about this time of year.

It sucks when they're so young. Hope his family recovers well - it will be a challenge.

Thanks to you all for your kindness. The funeral was huge and a real tear jerker. He'll leave a big hole in the community. When you say someone is a good guy it gets taken for granted. Steve was truly a 'good' person.

The family will never recover from such a loss - they can only change inside in order to continue living.
This takes both bravery and fortitude.
I wish them an abundance of both.
