Hey guys. I'm Vinnie. I'm new here, but I'll be around for a while. I just wanted to start a thread that we can all B.S. in and just talk. So, welcome to my thread.

I don't do much Christmas anymore..... I make sure my elderly Mother and Aunt (85 and 90) get a pretty bunch of flowers and a gift of some sort. I usually give my Daughter a little something in a card for her to get what she wants. I figger the SIL's present is I let him live for another year

I don't really look forward to Christmas anymore.

It's not because I don't enjoy giving gifts to those I care about, it's because the local overlords schedule property-tax collections during the same season.

They always take more from me so that I can keep the property that I thought I had already paid for over the years than I can afford to spend on those I love.

I'm off and on vacation all next week I figured I'd get the wife's present taken care of then. She wanted a sting of pearls or sumptin like that. I wonder what would happen if I got her a pistol with Pearl handled grips? Maybe Ivory since we all know what Gen Patton said about Pearl.

Maybe a bird's head Vaquero with Ivory grips?

Welcome. Stick around a while and you are sure to learn something. Most everybody here has an area in which they know a lot. Whatever you have to say may not always be about leverguns, but if you announce in the title that it is OT, then it probably will be OK. We have asked each other for advice, prayer, and many other things. Everyone I have met face to face on here has turned out to be a good person. Don't break the rules and you should learn a lot and have a good time doing it.

I've got two, pre'64 (one made in 1953, the other made in 1954. The one from 1953 is in 90% overall condition and the '54 made is in 95% condition) win94's in 30-30. I'm on the market for a Marlin 1895g. I do hunt with both of them. We have a LOW budget so we don't shoot as often as we like.

WOW! I love this forum! You guys aren't mean like on other forums! Thanks guys!

It just popped into my head. It's ironic, because I've never hunted bears, yet. I'm REALLY into whitetails though.

Well Kiddo,

You found just about the coolest place on the Net!

I got here asking about a kinda scarce Marlin and haven't left since. :D
(i'm sure they're tired of me)

There's an amazing volume of "Been there, done that" knowledge as well as
some darned fine people!

Hope you find a comfortable spot and stay a while!

Nice folks here although they talk an awful lot about some kind of gun with levers, whatever that is.
