The Long Sunday.

Post by Nath »

I am worn out! Out before light with the 308 for a good long walk and saw no fox's. There is a distinct lack of them this winter so far but what a bueatiful morning. Frosty and sunshine with a cold north breeze. I think I walked 4+miles this morning and then drove home for some lunch and a few chores.
The sun warmed the day well and with yet another order for five rabbits I grabbed the 9422 and gamebag.

I really struggled to find any! I had one after stalking for two hours!

Dismayed I nearly gave up and them found three sqirrels that I got two of which perked me up some.

After that I headed to a long wooded stretch that holds rabbits, my plan was to keep stalking around it untill it was to dark to see them.

It worked I got the amount needed, phew.

Seven shots. Five head shot rabbits and two centered squirrels all off hand.

The picture below makes my carbine look like it has a 20" tube!

I am totally worn out now and the thought of going work tomorrow sucks :(

Good on ya, Nath. That 9422 and you sure get along. I know you've explained this before, but I've forgotten. How did you get into taking orders for rabbits?

I have allways sold rabbit meat since a young feller, these though go to the butchers that my wife works part time. The regulars go mad for them!

Thanks, Nath. I do remember now your wife being involved, but couldn't remember why.
