Need serious prayer for my family.... Updated

Folks,
If ever we needed some help from the Almighty, it's now. My brother in law Jeff has been very ill for over two years now. In and out of the hospital on nearly a monthly basis, several operations. He is just a skeleton of what he once was. He's been trying to talk the doctors into a risky surgury that will either improve his quality of life, or kill him. He's been ready to take the chance for a while now, but the doctors have not. Somehow, he's talked them into doing it tomorrow. My mother in law said the doctors don't expect he'll make it through the procedure, but that's really what Jeff wants to do. He figures either way he'll be better off.

Update: I don't yet know the reason why, but they wouldn't perform the surgery today. They have rescheduled it for possibly this coming Wednesday.

I am overwhelmed by all your offerings of prayers and support. I can't tell you what that means to us. Thank you all.

Thank you all for your prayers. I've seen what the power of prayer can before and I'm hoping for yet another miracle. He's been basically bed ridden for two years, can't eat normal food, can't control his bodily functions, and is in constant pain. He's just had enough at this point. My mother in law said the doctors give him a 10% chance of surviving the surgery. He's hung on after a previous surgery where they gave him a 30% chance, so let's hope he's got enough will to do it again.

Prayers offered, for sure. I just pray for an end to his suffering, whatever the outcome. In my mind, the worst possible scenario would be surviving the surgery, only to live on in worse condition than before.

Any update on the status?
