As of the last time we text, the Henry was in Texas having a new Barrel put on! Well after 6 months the gun
came back, with the new barrel, and I am glad to say the gun shoots very much better. Only off 2in at fifty yards.
This is because LEAD rounds are not as accurate as the jacket ones. So said a old time reloader.

Re: The 1860 Henry
Just because he's an old-time reloader doesn't mean the man knows what he is talking about.
Yeah, in some firearms jacketed bullets are more accurate than cast lead bullets. But there are just as many that are more accurate with cast lead bullets than with jacketed bullets.
If you plan to take part in SASS or Cowboy Action Shooting competition, you will be required to use lead bullets, either cast or swagged.

The rear sight is windage adjustable by the way. A bit to the right should do it.

Sounds like we have a consensus! Sounds like someone stuck on jacketed bullets.
Drift that rear sight to the left and start playing with different loads to find one the rifle likes.
