Bannister - so not Sabine? OK then. I haven't seen anything on this. (?) Wonder why?

Nate? Any luck? I need to get this nailed down so I don't let a conflict develop... actually, I have one crowding these new dates... but if they works for you, I'll make it work. Otherwise, the 13th-15 is better.

Since we were talking about the same hotel I figured we were going back to bannister again. Are we now talking Sabine?

OK Nate - no problem. Guys would the weekend of the 13th work? And yes, the same place we went last time - thought that was Sabine? If it's Bannister, then its Bannister. Sorry about that!

Yes, I think those dates would work fine for me. I'll check my calendar and make sure, but it should be OK.

Yep, we hunted Bannister last time. If you get drawn for a tag at Sabine we can always split the hunt and hunt a day or two at each.

I have a bit of comp time built up at work, so I should be able to hunt for a few days this year.

OK - sounds good. I haven't heard back yet but if they are going in order of receipt.... then it may be another week or so... like right before we hunt. But that's not a deal killer for me. ;)

A friend of mine that I work with may bring his son along. So, how many from this forum do we have? Is it just the three of us again?

Yes we do. So we're getting Todd's buddy and maybe his son and Joe too? Great!

I'm still looking at going Thursday and start hunting that afternoon...

I was looking back for the motel web site - didn't see it  Ricky - I think you had that?

Joe and I are probably coming down Friday, hunt Friday evening and all day Saturday then go home Saturday night. I'll see if I can still find the hotel link.

I'm still gioing to try and come if I can. I am feeling a little under the weather here and may have to make a last minute call on whether I'm coming. If I do come, it'll be on Thursday sometime around midday.

The Country Inn is out of rooms - unless somebody cancels - just FYI. I just reserved the "big room" that has two regular and two folder or otherwise beds. I don't mind sharing but I call dibbs on one of the regular beds and bring ear plugs :D

I think I am going to have to bail on this trip. Can you guys come back out sometime in early or mid-December? I have a cold and my lower back is killing me. I think I would be miserable hunting right now. After Thanksgiving I plan to go out for a day or two, in case you guys want to come back out for another hunt. I apologize for the late drop.

That's it - you're out of the club.

Sorry your feeling bad - I'm personally pretty well booked for the rest of the year. I'm squeezing this trip in as it is.

Maybe the others will be able to make another weekend.... hope so.

I saw a doe with Jac on Fri afternoon. Ricky saw a buck Fri afternoon but it was going the wrong way. Good news to me, I think I figured out where/how to hunt the woodcock!

None of us ever pulled a trigger, but we saw lots of sign. As for the Woodcock, 86er and I plan to try to find some later in the year. Do you Know of any good spots?

Doing great! How about you? I got a lease this year and have already killed a doe and pig this archery season. I drew for a doe permit for Bannister but if things keep going well I may not even need it!
