Seven years ago out previous land lord decided to sell the house we were in so we had little notice to pack up and move. The house we are in is tiny and I have an area in the basement about 10'x12' maybe. Everything I have, books, reloading, some equipment, the furnace, my fountain pen collection, all share this little corner. Compared to yours it's a disaster. To be honest how I get anything done in it I do not know.

This is an older cleaned up version. Now it's more cluttered and there's Bonanza Co-Ax where the RockChucker is.

Here's the current rendition of my reloading setup. I recently moved it to my office in the house from the garage. I had a large area in the garage where I had everything in one place. But, I got tried of loading in 100+ degree heat in the summer time so made the move. Loaded ammo is to the right on another wall, books and records along with other presses are in the closest next to the bench. I still keep my tumbler and used brass and gun cleaning equipment in the garage.

COsteve, that is a very nice setup indeed.

I have posted mine before, but here it is again. The benchtop is an 8' piece of molded countertop, with a couple of cabinet bases for support. I screwed and glued a piece of 3/4" waferboard to the bottom of the benchtop to stiffen it. The powder storage is an old fridge with the guts removed and some padlocks added.

Here's my reloading area. 4' wide x 2' deep x 7' tall area. I built the bench myself. It is in my Pump House.

The bench top and wall behind it.

The area under the bench top where I keep my spare powder, primers, loaded ammo, etc..

I love these “show me your reloading bench/table/room etc. posts! Partly because I love to show off mine, and because each go around I see cool ideas from everyone else!

I had this unit in a small space in my garage in my old house, and even though I have a lot of room in the basement of my current house, I just love the flexibility of the bench, so have kept it.

Here’s a shot of the area and the bench:

With a closer view of the bench itself:

And a close up of the bench top. This is what makes the bench so flexible – I can change the press to another one, or another tool, in about 30 seconds.

Simply unscrew two large butterfly nuts holding an “insert” with the press mounted on it…

And put on a different press or tool, such as a trimmer, that is already mounted on an insert/base. Need to change to something else…

…like the vibratory cleaner? Easy, as it, like all my reloading tools, are mounted on these bases!

Man, I just love these threads on reloading benches! I'm SO envious of you guys, not just for the amount of equipment and supplies you have, but the thought and organization you put into it. It's on the to-do list for me to build a dedicated reloading bench in the garage, and I plan to leverage ideas from all of these pics (one day...). For now, I use a Lee handpress (and have for five years), and store the components in boxes and ammo cans in the closet. Of course, I only load a few hundred rounds a month (I really need to get out and shoot more...[sigh]).

All I can say is a crapper of your own in your very own reloading cabin is something to be really proud of. The crapper deserves first place!!!!

Don't bemoan the fact that you are currently using a LEE Hand Press. They are hard to beat.

If you'll take a second look at my reloading bench, you'll see A LEE Hand Press right on top of the bench top at the rear of the bench. I use it to reload ALL of my .444 ammo. So far, I've reloaded several hundred rounds of .444 with it.

I don't have the bunk beds in the room any more, added another bench in it's place. Still have a fold away incase I need a quite nap. The crapper is basic but nice!

Neatness is a syptom of a sick mind.

I have an old wooden milk crate and keep my stuff in it. I mount the press on it with wing nut/bolts.

Been doing that for 25 years.

Thanks TX! Don't worry 2571, the room does have it's days! Problem with a bigger box, it creates a bigger mess! About once every 45 days, I've got to call a time out and get things put away and start my projects over.

Neatness is it's own reward. I lose a lot less stuff that way, and it rarely takes me more than a minute to find anything I need. But yes, it is a sickness of sorts, as my wife will attest to.

For fun my brother used to bet his friends how long it would take me to notice something was out of place in my room. He'd go in there and turn something on a shelf - just a few degrees. I think the longest was a couple minutes. Scary thing is I never caught on until years later when he told me what he had been doing!

Sickness indeed!

I saw a twist on my bench-top insert idea. The guy set up the bench top with a cut out so he could just slide in the inserts. No carriage bolts and butterfly nuts needed. Pretty interesting!

The mini-lathe is great for making hard to get reloading tools for old calibres.We recently closed down one of our factories and I scored some smart new benches. Now I just have to convince the wife that her car really doesn't need to be in the garage....

Mine looks like a bomb went off in the general vicinity. Or maybe the aftermath of a tornado,.....

Hasn't been the same since the Adventure in Matrimony when I had to pack it all up to make room.

Still haven't quite found everything again.
