Thanks Jim, what a blessed way to ride into Glory, if I should go before the Rapture.

That's the kind of thing we all hope we'll never experience, but it's also the kind of thing we'd be glad we 'handled' towards the right outcome.
How unfortunate it is that the decent MEN of the world (and I don't necessarily use the term as chromosomes define a person) are no longer in charge; our 'leaders' are only more sophisticated versions of the 'punks' in the story.
I doubt God is smiling much these days when he looks at the U.S.A.

Excellent story, Jim! It's hard to imagine ahead of time what it will be like but, just this very morning I was thinking about what it would be like if I have to die before the Lord comes back. As I thought about it, I realized I was getting excited just thinking about it! I had to conclude that if I ever have to die, as the final minutes and seconds come, it will be exciting ...... perhaps even exhilarating.

That's it. I'm not reading anymore of your stories. Every time I do something triggers my allergies and my eyes swell and I leak water. Dog gone allergies.

Yep, it is dusty here, too.

Great story, sir. Made me think of my favorite mare. Put her sire to her dam back in 98' and was there to hold her when she foaled just over ten years ago. Nice to read your appreciation of a good mountain mare,.... I find , that mine, takes care of me better than any other. And, as in your story, she will probably be my last. Here is her pic,... maybe her spirit will show through in this pic and let you know why your writing has touched me.
