North central Arkansaw is still being blessed by the Lord with copious amount of liquid H2O. Flash flood warnings for most all of the Ozarks, which takes in most of us on the forum.

SE Texas here. We are the wet part of the state anyway. The best thing about these fronts with rains is they help cool the Gulf some and that tends to stop any major storms from brewing. Rain without hurricanes is OK with me!!! :D

It has been the wettest summer I can ever recall.

But on the good side, drought conditions are over and we've already had our annual average rainfall. Anything else is gravy.

now if it will just clear up so the farmers can get their crops in, all will be well, if wet.

We needed it bad. The tanks on the ranch are about to fill up again. Maybe if we have the winter they are talking about we will have the Bear Creek flowing again. :D

Actually, it's relatively dry around here. Can't speak for the REAL southern guys "down under" - but here just north of the equator we're only getting rain about once a week instead of twice daily. Had to water the back yard the other day...

The last year and a half has been pretty wet around here. The good thing is for the second fall, I have been going into the fall with lots of grass for the cattle. So, unless we start getting snow, I won't have to actually feed until maybe even late December or first of January.

Down side is I get tired of not seeing even 2 or 3 days of sunshine in a row, forever it seems like. I have practically given up motorcycle riding. I am getting tired of getting rained on if not actually starting out in the rain to begin with.

We have gotten about 5 inches in the last 36 hrs, and the power went off for a few hours last night. I had to drag out the coal oil lanterns, and the battery powered lights, sorta reminded me of last winter when the ice storm hit, and we were out for 11 days.

Up here in central Ontario, Canada, it has been raining just about every day for almost a month now. This is highly usual. The farmers are chomping at the bit to get their crops off before they rot. They are forecasting sun today and tomorrow, and then rain for at least the next week.

Plenty of rain in Central Illinois. I think we're 8-9 inches over normal for the year. Not much harvesting going on here.

I live 50 miles SW of Houston, I'm pleased as can be we are finally getting some rain to bust the drought we've been in. I only hope I'm getting the rain at my camp in the woods which is 45 miles SW of where I live (95 miles SW of Houston). The live oaks were starting to have trouble surviving out there and I already lost several white oaks. The last few days have seen high temps in the mid 60's instead of mid 90's we had before the last front brought in the rain.

We have had a lot of rain except for about a five-week period from late May to early July. There was some dryland corn that didn't make because of that. I had a lot of pines die off about four years ago because of drought, and it takes two or more wet years to get soil moisture levels back to a good, safe level. Maybe we are getting there. The GA regional radar shows a lot of rain in North Georgia, and has for the last few spells. Maybe some of the impoundments up there are getting back to near full pool. The problem there is that the Corps of Engineers was releasing water downstream out of some of those reservoirs even during the worst part of the drought. Recently, of course, the Corps came under criticism for continuing to release water from Lake Lanier and (I think) Lake Buford, further raising river levels during the recent Atlanta flooding.

The same thing is going on with the Texas hill country lakes. Buchanan is down 30 feet from normal and Travis is down 50 feet from normal; and thats after some recent rains they have had. The Colorado River Authority has contracts to provide water for irrigation for the rice farmers so they release water all summer long. I get the advantage of having the river near me (20 miles away) have good flow all summer long, great for boating.

I'm about 20 miles northeast of Atlanta and I am ready for the rain to quit. This is a great time for riding a motorcycle, but mine stays in the garage when it's raining. Also, I am working up a pistol load for hunting season (starts the 17th...finally) and trips to the range need to be dry ones. So far, so good with that. The good side is that the food plots at my club should be in good shape and the creeks will be full. Skeeter Skelton once wrote that "...goodness of all kinds comes with the rain." I think that I agree.
