OT-almost winter

Post by jnyork »

Snowing heavily here in Lander, Wyoming today, there has been 2-3 inches more come down since the photo was taken. Processing the moose meat, got one more hind quarter and the ribs to go, rest of him is in the freezer. Hot biscuits with butter and honey for a snowy Sunday morning, big ol' pot of moose chili simmering on the stove. Will have to go out and shake the snow off the trees after a bit to avoid broken branches, they still have their leaves on. Maybe watch the Broncos win another one this afternoon. Life is good

We're just starting to get some snow down here in Sweetwater county. Where did you get your moose?

Reminds me of being back in North Dakota. Glad you got your moose before this hit.

All that does for me is a severe case of "Fashback" after last winter I could care less if it gets white around here

I know what you mean, it's about 1:30 in the afternoon here and it's only 61 degrees. I'm scrambling around trying to find a jacket.

Nice!
It was over 90 degrees here today, but since our first cold front of the year came through a couple of days ago the humidity has been low.

Danny, better batten down the hatches. Got some wind and moisture running around here. Should hit you guys in a day or so.

Has been snowing off and on in Cody since mid-morning. Not sticking, YET.

Is "snow" that white stuff in the photo?

:D

I wish we could get one or two modest accumulations per year here to offset the heat and humidity and add some variety. But, I'm not sure I could tolerate the amounts you fellas get. It was mid-70's here today. A beautiful fall day in Carolina.

I used to think snow was fun until I moved some where that gets a good bit of it. Now I dread the thought of snow we had our first frost last week yuck.
