I'v only owned one .357 mag, a Smith model 19 more than thirty years ago. any use for it quickly ended when I got my first Blackhawk .45colt.
After reading about the .357 in rifles here for the last several years I started paying attention, and of course found one just before Christmas that was too good to pass up.
A used EMF 20" short rifle,case hardned, octagon, with a Lyman reciver sight mounted. the shop had $329.00 on it. The quality is much better than I would have expected,the action is very smooth and seems to be accurate. no safteys except the half-cock and the best part is a trigger of about three# pull. I will post pictures when the Boy stops over.Jim.

Sounds like you did very well, looking forward to the pics!
For the record, the correct term is "Leverosis":
osis = a condition of
itis = inflamation

Thanks for clearing that up. My Wife must have the "itis" as She seemed to have some "inflamation" when She asked Me "why" I needed this one.

That, by the way, is the Levergunner's motto.

It's "Leveritis", whenever I get a new one (or she finds out about it), she gets "enflamed!"

Leveritis hit me way back in the form of a Daisy Model 94 looking B.B. gun. Never really got over it. 1886.

I use that with my wife all the time.
On a more serious note though, we don't want Big Brother ever defining our rights based on their idea of our "needs"!
Congrats .45 colt, but as Jeremy said -

Nice buy, I picked up a Rossi .357 2 years ago. It has become 1 of my very favorites. You'll enjoy this levergun a bunch.
