Saved it to favorites. Only read his "Life on the Missisippi". Liked the first half tremendously (the half where he talks about growing up and learn the ropes on the river. The second half board me.

fOR AN EVEN MORE EXTENSIVE LIST OF mARK tWAIN'S WORKS AVAILABLE FREE ON LINE GO TO;
http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/t#a53
Of all Mark Twain's works, two of my favorites are "The $30,000.00 Bequest," and "The Man who corrupted Hadleyville>'' In both Twain shows a deep understanding of human nature and shows how greed can cause even the most sternly upright to be corrupted.
if you've never visited the Gutenberg Project, I highly recommend it. The goal is to get all public domain books ever printed available on-line or for free download. Lots of great books available.

..Captain Stormfield... is a particular favorite of mine, but I most enjoy The Diary of Adam & Eve. It is quite probably the quintessential Male/Female treatise. At he end, as Adam stands by Eve's grave, he says, "Wherever SHE was, that was Eden..."
Twain understood the human condition like few men ever, before or since.

My favorite...a Dark, Dark story. The movie is nowhere close to the evil shown in the book.Old Ironsights wrote:Never forget Conneticut Yankee...

Having lived in Northern California all my life, and spent many a season in the Tahoe area, "Roughing It" is one of my all-time favorites.
