36 of me, but probably only 1 or 2 with the correct middle.

Mine are 345 with "Andrew" and 31 with "Andy".

Funny, "Andrew" had a higher percent of females than "Andy". I always figured it would be the other way around. They were both over 99% though.

453, but 1445 under my real name. Guess there was a good reason to change. Probably far fewer with the correct middle name under either.

From that site...I thought this comment was rather odd...

.3% are female?? Must be quite a few knuckleheaded parents out there....

Johnson is the second most common surname in the USA, with more that 2M. There are 404,000+ of me.

Hard to believe that one in six has the name Bruce, though.... Is this accurate?

We're ALL Bruces....

Second Bruce: G'day, Bruce!
First Bruce: Oh, Hello Bruce!

Third Bruce: How are you Bruce?

First Bruce: A bit crook, Bruce.

Second Bruce: Where's Bruce?

First Bruce: He's not 'ere, Bruce.

Third Bruce: Blimey, it's hot in here, Bruce.

First Bruce: Hot enough to boil a monkey's bum!

Second Bruce: That's a strange expression, Bruce.

First Bruce: Well Bruce, I heard the Prime Minister use it. "It's hot enough to boil a monkey's bum in here, your Majesty," he said and she smiled quietly to herself.

Third Bruce: She's a good Sheila Bruce, and not at all stuck up.

Second Bruce: Here! Here's the boss-fellow now! - how are you bruce?

(Enter fourth Bruce with English person, Michael)

Fourth Bruce: 'Ow are you, Bruce?

First Bruce: G'day Bruce!

Fourth Bruce: Bruce.

Second Bruce: Hello Bruce.

Fourth Bruce: Bruce.

Third Bruce: How are you, Bruce?

Fourth Bruce: G'day Bruce.

Fourth Bruce: Gentleman, I'd like to introduce man from Pommeyland who is joinin' us this year in the philosophy department at the University of Walamaloo.

Everybruce: G'day!

Michael: Hello.

Fourth Bruce: Michael Baldwin, Bruce. Michael Baldwin, Bruce. Michael Baldwin, Bruce.

First Bruce: Is your name not Bruce?

Michael: No, it's Michael.

Second Bruce: That's going to cause a little confusion.

Third Bruce: Mind if we call you "Bruce" to keep it clear?

I have my doubts as to the accuracy.

I searched my Mom's name and it came up with "1 or fewer." Unless he's died recently, there is another Clemmie Hudson in this county, a black guy generally called "Clemmie D."

Hobie,

The worst instance I can't spell or pronounce any better than her mother could.

I had a customer, a black girl in her late teens or early 20's, who had a baby. I sold her a dependant child rider to add to her policy and filled out the paperwork.

When I asked the child's name, the mother replied, "Let me go get the paper>" I had a bad feeling.

The girl came back with one of the cutesy frilly unofficial birth certificates given heer by the hospital. She gave it to me and I read it in amazement as she told me she couldn't spell the name. The poor child had a first name 21 letters long and the middle name was 18 letters long.

I looked at the name, then looked at the mother and said, "You ought to be slapped for giving a poor defenseless child a name like that!" Grandma on the otherside of the room laughed and said, "Telle her about it!"

Young mother piped up and said, "My sister came up with it. And sister chimed in with "It a Africa name."

By that time I was on a roll and gave little sister a good blast to.

"Just when was the last time you were in Africa?" I ranted. "And where the hell is this child going to grow up? Africa? Or Belzoni, Mississippi?

"You've saddled this child with a name that is unpronounceable and unspellable. Hell, she'll be a Senior in high school before she learns to spell it and none of her friends or teachers will ever learn it. You've given this poor child a name that is too long to fit into standardized forms. She will have problems with this name until she is old enough to change it!

"Both of you ought to be slapped senseless!"

The whole time I was ranting, the child's grandmother was laughing and cheering me on with comments like, "Tell about it Mr. Larry!" "That's the truth!", and "I tried to tell 'em the same thing!" Grandma thoroughly enjoyed hearing give her girls down the road. Apparently it had been a sore point for some days.

Funny thing is, even after I gave the girl hell, she took the insurance and kept the premiums paid as long as I was with the company. As for my forms, I just called the baby A.K. lastname.

I am one in 350 million as no one shares my name. Actualy there is one more merril werch, I spell my name "wrong", and merrill wuerch spells his probley right. We are probley 3rd or 4th cousins. Our grandfathers came to this country as 1st cousins about the same time. My grandpa and many of his brothers all spelled their name different to each other. The other merrill and I are both from the same area of wisconsin. There is only about 400 various spelled werchs or wuerchs put together in the country. One is george wuerch ex mayor of ankorage alaska. He was one of the biggest pusher of that "bridge to nowhere" in alaska. I have a picture of him and sara palin poseing together on the project.

It says there are only 99 of me, which leads me to question the numbers. I know 5 people with the same name as me in SD and none of them are related. I can look in the "local" phone book and besides me there are 2 and neither are among those I know.
