Pics of my new to me pre safety .444s

Post by Win94 »

Just bought this from a fella over the internet sight unseen. Never even got a pic of it first. Arrived in the mail a couple days ago. Pleasantly surprised with the shape its in as well as the wood. Scoped it with a Nikon Monarch 2-7x32 compact for load development.

Wow. Nice wood. Alot of the "gun guys" I have dealt with have been real good. Hope the trend continues. I just try to be as honest as possible with them and hope they reciprocate. 1886.

Really nice factory wood. If I'd of taken a chance like that I'd of been holding something like a Red Ryder BB gun beat to death.

I'm of that suspicious mindset also. Have usually been surprised. But... I usually get pics also.

On the particuliar website that we do deals on, we all have trader rateings and feedback from previous deals. A fella doing a deal with a person can check his rateing as well as the feedback. These folks don't burn people 9 times out of 10 as they don't want to risk getting banned from a great resource.

Nice gun! One of my friends has a 444 that was abandoned at a hunting camp. It was all rusted on one side. He redid it in Duracoat and it filled in the pits so you can't really tell. It is an honest 1" gun with the Hornady factory stuff.

Very, very nice rifle and the wood is superb!!! This must be the season for good, used, pre-safety Marlin .444S rifles. I picked one up myself just prior to Christmas.

Nicest wood I've seen on a .444. Lucky for me that you're in Canada, I might have tried to throw some money at you for that!
