need a shot of lever porn, so i'll start.
here's a savage 99 i've not posted before.
30-30, takedown, born in 19and12.
someone made some "improvements" long ago.
i don't really mind the inlays, but i wish they would have left the but plate alone. ah well.
somebody here was asking about full buckhorn rear sights,
well here's a vintage set.
well there's a start, anybody want to raise the ante?

good luck with that, anything in 25-35 is pretty thin on the ground, around here anyway.

Re: on topic lever pics
Hobie posted an auction site for an auction to occur in mid-September I believe. It was apparently for a gun store in Oklahoma that closed down. In that auction list there was a Savage 99 in 25-35 with a octagon barrel and it had a long Stevens vintage scope mounted up top. Not pristine, but pretty nice looking older lever. It was on a page somewhere in the 20's I think. There are 44 pages total, but they have a search function.BigSky56 wrote:Nice saddle gun Pokey I like those 99's Iam still trying to find a 25-35. danny
Edit: Oops, it ends in 2 days. The rifle in question is lot# 1464.

jumbeaux,
it's a 1958 series 2, short wheel base station wagon, petrol engine.
Unfortunately it's not mine and is just rotting away on the farm.
The last land Rover I had was a series 1, 1956 SWB soft top. I wish I still had it!
I don't even have that Uberti 73 .22 anymore, stupid is as stupid does

the top is a winchester 1895 100 year commemorative in 30-06. The bottom is my Turnbull 1895 Marlin Cowboy in 50 alaskan. Notice the barrel is quite a bit heavier than the normal cowboy.

A pic I took this June out dog walking. Carbine was made in 1927. I had a spare barrel cut to 16 1/2", it's my rainy weather gun.

A place I lived a few years ago.

A more recent place.

Malumute,
That gun will do to ride the range with,
Morgan,
If it is possible to have too many, you are pushing the parameters.
