OT-Using Leverevolution ammo in a semi-auto?

Post by awp101 »

I have a line on a Remington Model 8 in .35 Rem.

Researching to see if ammo is even still available, the only thing that popped up in a quick search was the Hornady Leverevolution (or however it's spelled :x ).

At almost $1/rd I don't know that I'll jump on it but if there's no other factory ammo options, I have to ask...has anyone tried the Leverevolution in a semi-auto? How did it do?

Thanks!

Ammo is still available, i don't think that round is gonna die anytime soon. Ive never used the Leverevolution rounds i still count on the Rem. 200 grain core lokt. Although ive heard nothing but good things about the hornady ammo i still like my roundnoses :) I figure if it ain't broke why fix it

Thanks, I'll price ammo at the show tomorrow I guess.

I'm still trying to justify purchasing this thing. The only thing I hunt is paper and the odd clay pigeon that gets tossed on the far bank at the annual river shoot. I don't have a purpose for it (other than it goes bang) and they want $400+tax in NRA beater grade (marked down from $700).

Since I'm flat busted right now I guess it's a little easier to pass...
