Guns and Ammo

Post by GabbyHaze »

Last winter I decided to take a few ( not all ) of my guns out to wipe them down and put a bit of oil on them. I snapped this picture while I had them on the kitchen table. Hope you enjoy the pic.

Here's a picture of my ammo chest. I took this picture last year and my ammo supply has grown since then. I'v started a new chest.

Nice looking collection, looks like you got plenty of 22 ammo to plink with.

Yeah, but I don't do much plinking though. I like to hunt prairie dogs and go rabbit hunting, but I do plink a little while I'm camping in the mountain. ( We live at the base of the Bighorn Mountains ).
I keep a good stock of ammo just in case the economy goes ka-put and we end up in a depression worse than the great depression, I figure I'll at least have enough ammo to hunt my own food with. Plus if you have extra 22 ammo you can use it to trade some for something else you may need.
I also have company that comes to visit and I take them out shooting and hunting. My brother-in-law was just here visiting from Rhode Island and we went out shooting prairie dogs for 3 days. I purchased 5 boxes of ammo ( Fed. 525 round boxes ) and we only shot about 1 and a half boxes, so I threw the rest in my ammo stash. Usually if I go out and shoot on box of ammo I'll stop on the way home and buy 2, this way it builds up my stash.
I literally have more 22 ammo than all 3 gun stores and WalMart put together right now, there is a national shortage on 22 ammo. We went to shipton Big R thursday and they didn't have one box in stock. Little John's was out to, WalMart had none and Rocky Mountain Discount Sports had 6 boxes of which we baught 4. :D

Very nice collection indeed....thanks for sharing those. Like those Hand R Shotguns...have mine set up like yours with the shell holder and buckshot.

Nice Collection.

Is that a Crossman CO2 .22 air rifle at the bottom of the rifles? It looks just like the one my brother owned back in the 70's.

Yup,
I've had it since the 5th or 6th grade, still shoots great. I had the seals replaced once.

Thank you.
I can't wait to get around to some of the other topics. Right now though my spine, legs ankles and hands are swollen and hurt pretty bad so I'm going to get off the computer for a while and take some medication and try to rest. I'm going to check the rest of my e-mails first.
Have a blessed night everyone.

Even my wife gets excited now when she spots some bulk .22 at WalMart. We never go there without taking a spin through the sporting goods to check for ammo.
