New guy here

Post by Brant »

Newly signed on after lurking a while. learning alot from you guys here. I am a Marlin fan with one 336 30-30 , a pre safety 1895 two 1894 44s. Years ago i sold a friend a Big Bire 356 and wish I had it back. When I hunt with a bolt gun it is a Browning Micro Medalion 284 win. My dad has reposesed my first rifle for his use. It is a remington Mod 7 in 6mm rem. I still take it out from time to time. I also hunt with a recurve made by Bob Morrison.

I am also a Christian and have been married to a little cajun gal who enjoys shooting for 15 years. I am blessed enough to live in the country and am planning on building a shooting range on my place and look forward to any sugestions on back stops and shooting benches.

Well that's me, thanks for letting me aboard!

Thanks for the welcome. No problem on the cold ones, only I think we can do better than Shiner Bach. As for the advice on wimmin, well I have all of that I need. "She is right, I am wrong, and I am sooo sorry! " If you can find your way to the north end of Toledo Bend Lake In North West Louisiana, then your in my back pocket. Lets go shoot!

Now handloading will be my next adventure so I am all ears!

Brant welcome aboard....I'm up the road from ya in NE Texas. Fished Toldeo Bend many times....my grandparents had a fish camp (Scotty 13' camper that they slept in and a bedroll outside under a net for us kids) at Zwolle. We would cook outside on an open fire pit and mamaw would make biscuits every morning in the little camper oven. We bathed in the lake after dark when we couldn't stand it any longer. We flat wore the white perch and red-ears out in the first few years the lake was open. You will sure enjoy the brotherhood on this site. Good to have ya....

Welcome to the campfire Brant! There's a lot of us Marlin fans here so You're in good company, and some of these ol' boys know more about reloading than the people that write the manuals so You can get the answer to almost any question You can think of here. :)

Welcome to the fire. If hand loading is something you want to get into get your self some books read them twice and then start asking questions there is more combined experience here then at some of the ammo manufacturers. But no amount of advice beats what can be found in the manuals for learning how to roll your own safely.
