CCI Primer Throwdown at MidSouth Today

Post by Rimfire McNutjob »

I'm happy to report that MidSouth had all kinds of CCI primers come in today. Granted, they were gone within 6 minutes, but still. You had SR (#400), SRM (#450), LP (#300), SP (#500), LR (#200), and SR MilSpec (#41).

I would suspect that some of the other online retailers will be taking similar deliveries later today or tomorrow as well if you didn't happen to get in on any of these at MidSouth. Natchez has similar prices compared to MidSouth for CCI ... not usually for the others though where Natchez is a bit higher.

I got the Anvil notification but wasn't sitting on my e-mail. I've got to get out and do something some days and today was that day...   So, no small rifle magnum primers for me. Midsouth does show them on order with a due in date at the end of July.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Yep - thanks for the effort on primers. I've been 'ok' on them, but I have referred alot of fellow reloaders to your program (don't know if they followed through). Hope it's helped some get what they need.

I called them as soon as I got the message.

As soon as the young lady found out that I had not ordered
from them previously, there "were no primers available."
They were only "filling backorders."

I ran into this with Graf's, too.

Natchez, on the other hand, went out of their way to get my
info into their system quickly. They restricted me to 3K primers,
but they didn't turn me away.

Midway, as always, was first class.

Guess who's not gonna get my business when things clear up?

Thanks again, Rimfire. You've done a great service for us all!

What are they, 20 bucks per thousand? If not they are way too high, especially after paying the hazmat fees.

Graf's called me around 2PM Wednesday. They said my backorder was in 2 bricks of Winchester large primers. $27.00 a brick plus
hazmat & shipping. It did not take me too long to haul out the old
credit card. I asked if they had more primers & they said no. They
were filling backorders & just had a small allotment. I guess it was my lucky day.

If you got a notification and didn't get a chance to buy the primers, don't forget to put your request back in Anvil. Anvil removes your request once it sends you a notice about what you're looking for. You need to re-establish your request if you missed out.

As was expected, it seems Natchez posted their freshly received CCI stock this morning. There was no SRM (#450) though. LP, SP, and SR are still in-stock there as I write this and have been in stock for over an hour so they must have gotten quite a bit in.

Yes, they did Rimfire! I ordered some CCI LPMagnum primers and some
powder. The fella on the phone said they had something 165K of those
primers (if I heard right!). They also had single pounds of WW231 and Blue Dot,
but only 8 lb. jugs of 2400. 8lbs. is a lot of 2400, but it's so versatile that
it's not a bad buy. Somewhere around a hundred bucks a jug.
