This is the best piece of wood I have. The picture does not do it justice. It is English walnut on my Krieghoff 470NE.

I am a sucker for fancy wood too:

Top photo is factory wood from an deluxe 86 Winchester circa 1904.
Bottom wood is a piece I got from Fajen some years ago and stocked myself on an original Winchester Highwall.

if it's old enough .... people use to decorate their guns with tacks
and studs ... they might be from that :-)

Gracious Snakes! I'm falling in love!
(except for your air conditioned one, Sixgun.)

--P.S.--

Crs,
That is the most beautiful buttplate and end to a stock I've seen.

Cribbage stock? Those are fightin' words :x :x I try to do something nice so I can be with the boys and all I get is a vicious insult. :D

Anyway, 100 yd., thats some purty birds eye maple you got there. The wood to metal fit on your ml's is incredible.----------Sixgun
