Just out of curiosity I got to wondering if and if so what
Musical instruments you all play
I for one “used” to play the Cornet, wish at times I still had it.
I have at one time or another, and to vastly varying degrees, played the: trumpet, cornet, euphonium, tuba, trombone, french horn, flugle horn, tenor/baritone sax, rythm/bass guitar. I also sing.

I play the native american flute, nearly every night and it goes with me on my walks, and in my hunting gear. I also play with the harmonica and Dijerdoo, and austraillian music sticks.

I tried to learn to play the trumpet when I was about 8 but got braces soon after and had to stop. I wish I could play an instrument. I have thought about taking up the bagpipes...

Okay, this is just strange. I've been reading and learning on this forum for the last 5 months, and now within the last 24 hours there have been 2 posts I have just had to reply to.
I'm a band director. I can play all the normal band instruments. I can't play the guitar or the piano.

"People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for rule by brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically 'right.' Guns ended that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work."
Played Trumpet as a kid(only instrument I read music for). Also Harmonica, Acoustic Guitar, Tin Whistle, peck on the Piano, and I have a Cavalry Bugle that I rouse my boys with sometimes. Like Hobie, I've always had a desire to play the Bag Pipes, and the 5 string Banjo.

Joined the musicians union at 14, played in Army Bands from 72-92 and now just play when it suits me, which is not that much anymore, wanted to make more time for shooting, fishing and scoot riding.....

Well don't let this get around, but I play the Alto Sax and a little harmonica, especially when I'm in the wilderness (the harmonica that is, not the sax).

If I can manage the extra weight, I like to take a flute (usually a bamboo alto) to the woods.

Not as hard as playing the Jaw Harp with a Handlebar...

I play a guitar, poorly....... I practice daily for a few months and then I forget about it for a few months and the cycle continues. I have been doing this for 20 years.
Been playing Guitar since 3 (my mom taught music)
Currently I have:
1973 Fender Telecaster Deluxe electric
1975 Guild D35 acoustic
2006 700 series Quilted Maple Hohner acoustic
2004 Martin D16 Rosewood acoustic
2008 Fender 45FM nylon Flamenco
Played trumpet in school so I bought a coronet at a yard sale a few years back. I try not to annoy the family with it. Same with the 5 string banjo. I like clawhammer not bluegrass pickin though.

Now that would sound nice!

Very nice collection.
So levers are not the only things some of us collect.
Recorder and baroque flute were my main instruments.
I really don't play much anymore after a hand injury.
I love Baroque Flute done on an wood open hole flute...

Being a church choir director provides opportunities.
Of all the brass, slide trombone irs the one I've spent the least time on.
I do Valves and Bugles, but my slide work is marginal...

I love Gibsons!!! Man you got everything there. I had a 1956 colorburst Fender Strat that my wife talked me into getting rid of.Wish I hadnt. When they pulled the neck to verify I felt faint after I saw the pencil writing. The guys at the shop were blown away.
I almost have her talked into letting me get a PRS though.
Irish and Welsh in my ancestry, and somehow I am totally tone deaf. I hardly ever even listen to music, much less play an instrument.

I may like music and musical instruments better than guns. It's great to enjoy both and that's what really matters.
My best performance comes from a chromatic (button on the end) harmonica. I also "play a little" guitar and tinker with the piano. My favorite instrument is the piano and I plan--at age 68--to take some piano lessons before too long.
Favorite music is the pop music of the 30's, 40's, sometimes called "Dance Band Music". A couple of favorite tunes are Deep Purple and Stardust. Lazybones is another.
Nearly forgot, I like the Tenor Banjo and might buy a Plectrum before too long since I think it has a prettier sound. Less "plunky" if you know what I mean.
Right now I'm rather tied-up restoring an old farm tractor and everything else is taking a back seat.
I'm Rich with interests and that's much of what life's all about !!
Gosh, too bad we didnt all live closer together,we could form
a band (Hobie could be band director) and when the times came
for the symbols to be clashed we could instead have Old Savage
just shoot off a bang with one of his guns!!!
Heck, for a grand finale we could put down our instruments and
all shoot off our guns in sync in the air.(we should have blanks,I guess)
WELL NOW, I LEARNED TO PLAY A MEAN PHONOGRAPH IN MY YOUTH AND WAS THE BEST DADDY-O ON THE RADEE-O YOU EVER HEARD.....

Getting back into playing ukulele after several years of abstinence. Also learning myself the Harmonica, hopefully can play both at same time.
Since I haven't been able to do much shooting (last shots fired at Texas Leverguns Safari '08) I've been searching for deals on nice solid wood ukuleles instead of leverguns, found few beauties.

I guess it's easier than trying to find vagina repellant.
