Scary to think there are citizens out there who actually believe in freedom and morality and the 'Constitution' - whatever that is... Aren't you scared of those noisy guns? I wouldn't have them in the house - they might spontaneously kill everyone when we're asleep. Hopefully, the government will outlaw all of them, because they know what is best for us; it has worked in other enlightened nations, from China to Rwanda, and I don't see why the filthy rich Libertarians and Republicans are so hostile to the concept.

...good shooting, by the way...

I have one from CMMG also. Works great with the right ammo. Now I can afford to take my AR out once in a while. :D

I dont think there are any objections to some classic MEtallica-- great song (Slipknot or Slayer might raise some eyebrows around here though  )

That thing sounds like a sewing machine on the video. I've held back because i was worried about the bore diameter difference and the 1:9 twist in my AR, but yours looks like it shoots pretty tight, -- hard to go wrong for the price too.

Thanks - yeah, the ammo needs to be high velocity type with a little poop to it. The price is definately right IMHO - especialy when you look at a year's worth of shooting.... .223 is now a minimum of $10/box of 20 - and that's a really good price. Shoot 325 rounds of good bulk 22 ammo and it'll set you back $15. 300 rounds of the cheapest .223 you can find will cost you $150!

I thought accuracy with the bulk box ammo was thoroughly adequate for what I want to do with the rifle in practice mode. I am sure the soft LR rounds are slugging up a bit to fill the slightly larger bore. The idea is to practice up with the 22LR and then maybe shoot one mag or even just 20 rounds of standard .223 to finish out the session - there's not really all that much difference in the feel and the standard rounds blow the gas tube out. This adds $10 to the ammo cost that day, but is a good compromise to shooting all 223 for the session.

This is kinda like the economical AR version of getting a .22 lever to go with your centerfire lever.

Yep, I have an account with Brownells so that's where I got mine (with the discount). But you can also get them from http://www.aimsurplus.com http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Feat ... azine.html and http://www.atlanticfirearms.com http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct753.aspx for about the same price.
