Back in Wyoming
Got back from Yuma yesterday after a nice Arizona winter. Where the heck is all this snow I keep hearing about? 70 degrees and sunny here in Lander, no snow on the ground although plenty in the Wind Rivers. Trees are starting to bud out and lawn has a few green blades of grass, probably be doing yard work next week.

I just turned around and found I needed to swath my yard. I couldn't believe it greened up that quick.

Re: Back in Wyoming
I was down in Wheatland last Sunday and most of the snow was already gone.
Re: Back in Wyoming
Talked to some associates from Lander today, and they said they saw a nice bunch of elk up on top of south pass. They said they often hang around the old iron ore mine site. They also said that next season they're planning an "any elk" tag for that general area. It is some rough country once you get off the paved roads though.

Re: Back in Wyoming
Yeah, that is a pretty good area when the weather cooperates, lots of elk have come down off that mountain. We have a summer place up there and see them frequently. Hunting hasn't been as good up there in the last few years due to the severe drought and lack of snow during the season.Jimbo wrote:Talked to some associates from Lander today, and they said they saw a nice bunch of elk up on top of south pass.
