I sure will. My last day with the county is January 18 and I start in Atwood on January 21. The bosses have not decided yet if we will build a new building next to the existing one or if we will buy a really nice building across the street.

The FFL will not be back for another month probably. I am on the computer as much as I can doing product research. I am also going through the Jerry's Sports Center catalog and highlighting all the stuff that we need. I hope the if we get the FFL back the first of February and we either buy or rent a building, that we can be open by about April or May. From what I have been told, Tom Knapp will be in town for a demonstration in the spring. I hope to be open by then.

Dealerships:
Benelli, Stoeger, Franchi, Uberti
Rock River Arms
Starline Brass
Midstates Cast Bullets
Cold Steel
Rafter 7 ammunition (remanufactured)
Gun Safes (unknown who at this time)

Only 35 days until the SHOT Show.

Jengel...G-D bless you & yours in your new business venture. Good for you...from an old businessman of over 40 yrs. Business funded my ministries & I love it. I hope you find great success & I will pray for it. This is a fine thing you're doing, though you will find that 80 hrs. in a week is an easy week. But, I think you will find great joy in doing so.

Being in business for yourself is the American Dream and a curse as well.

One thing, now that you have decided to take the plunge, there is no quitting...you see it through...no matter what. And know there will be a whole forum of your brothers doing their best to help out.

Let me know if I can help answer any question. Been an FFL for over 8 years, my wife and I run the biz and have been very successfull. We cater to a certain class of customers (class III) and the one thing I enjoy most is every new customer we pick up turns into a new friend.

BTW, there are many other distributors out there besides Jerry's, you need to hook up with as many as you can, some have better shipping then others and that's what will get you small orders or ordering that one special rifle for that special customer.

Contact me at: sales@hallmarksmallarms.com if you have any questions.

Oh, the BATFE won't issue you a license unless your zoning is ok, so watch where you rent or buy. That's the first thing they are going to check even before they do your interview. Your licensed premisies must be zoned for the type of business 01 or 07. Other than that, the licensing is the easy part.

Good luck brother! :D
