ERMA WERKE

Post by junedog »

Was at the gun show this past weekend and saw a lever action 22 Erma Werke. They were asking $450. Anybody know anything about it? Just curious. Thanks.

Forerunner of the Henry .22; was also made by Ithaca back in the 70's. $450? I don't think so...

I had one back in the 70s. Good little rifle but I would buy a brand new Henry, same gun but for a plastic barrel band and front sight. Metal ones are available from Henry, if you, like me, don't like plastic.

Erma made those under their own name, but also branded as Ithaca and Iver Johnson, at various times, before it evolved into the modern Henry standard H001 - one of which I bought for $200 last Spring.

Nice rifle, but not worth the asking price....I might be interested for 150 - 200...maybe not even then.

I have one, mine is an Iver Johnson. Dandy little carbine. Mine had some very ugly varnished hardwood on it, that had seen better days. I tried a set of stocks from a new Henry and it fit perfectly.
