I would have... but I posted my comment from my phone... and that's a bit more difficult...S.B. wrote:Old Ironsights & ,1894cfan, could you or would you please post some pics of your squirrel guns?

I've taken my share of squirrels and rabbits(behind a good Beagle)with my S&W K22.ceb wrote:No pics, sorry I've never learned how, but I use a '57 Marlin Mountie, a '63 39A (my favorite) a '66 Marlin carbine and a 9422. Also on occasion a Smith K-22 and a Ruger Mk II.
I think a Brass 1866 in .22 would likely be the only .22 I'd really want other than my 96/22...Str8man wrote:I suppose this could be a squirrel gun although we really don't have any squirrels here big enough to bother shooting in Northwest Montana.
The middle gun is my old Uberti 1866 carbine in 22 long rifle. I've had this so long I don't really remember when I bought it but it was around 1982 I think.
It shows a lot of wear from being carried around on my horses for the last 28 years.
We have rabbits and more rabbits here in Australia - I subscribe to the high velocity calibre removal and fertilising method too - a .250-3000 Savage at max velocity. You can cut long grass at the same time using a 300win mag - but that rifle is not a lever.cpt Dan Blodgett wrote:Back when I lived in Texas the squirrels were so big I had to use my 1895 browning 06
I take it your a PETA member?OJ wrote:Can't we all just get along here ??
affirmative --- tons more style than my off the rack 10/22. The darn thing is so hard to get parts for i only bring it out occasionally thoughOld Ironsights wrote:I like my 1943 513T... Nice to see someone else with one.
Not by a long shot - Here I am in 1934 at about 8 years old with my "trophies" I took with the rifle I got for my 6th birthday in 1932 - I probably shot more rabbits and prairie dogs before I was 12 than most people see in a lifetime.I take it your a PETA member?

It's just that, on my deck, some of those creatures think we are pets and even share food with us -The difference between Pet and Vermin is whether it will eat out of your hand or bite you...
hmm there must be a wife school for stupid questions.Griff wrote:I can hear the wife now, SHOOT THE SQUIRRELS? HOW 'BOUT I SHOOT YOU!!!!!
Crows, pigeons & seagulls are fair game however. 12 gauge.
