Gentlemen,
Do you or does anyone you know have a Lyman #2 tang sight mounted on the tang of their [ Taylor's&Co or other] M1876 rifle ? I'm trying to figure out if the Lyman No2 has enough height adjustment.

Can't tell you the answer to your question, but I'm interested in the Italian repro information. I'm getting my whistle ready for a '76 myself and I need all the information this collective forum of professor's can provide.

The Lyman #2 for the 1894 or 1892 will most likely not be tall enough. You will have to get the Lyman #2 that is made for the 1886, which has a taller stem.
If you have a nice rifle like that, it would pay to put the NEW windage adjustable Marbles tang sight on it. With that sight, you can interchange stems, available at Buffalo Arms.--------Sixgun
