I was inquiring about the barrel band not the forearm band. If you hold the gun vertically, it is the northern most band. Hope I am being clear. Thanks, 1886.

Awww now I understand your question 86
That's a negative on the barrel band.
I didn't have any reason to change that one out,
just reinstalled the original equipment.
I ask because mine exhibits the same wear as the forearm band. Originals are very hard to find. If one replaces only one, they will not match, one being alum. and glossy and the other being blued steel. I will order both and see what happens. 1886.

"Originals are very hard to find."
That is very true, as I have been finding out.
Do let us know how you make out on the barrel band fit.
Pray you have the same luck as I had on the rear band.
Very nice, I may have to try that with mine. Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'd be interested in knowing what others with B-92's in .44 like to shoot, or favorite loads. Thanks!

Hijack away lever brother.
Tell you what, lets throw it out there like this:
What are some favorite loads for the 1892's chambered
in the .44 mag. & .357 mag.
I received the front and rear bands from Marlin. The rear band fits without issue. The front band also fits nicely but the retaining screw is much too large in diameter to be a "drop in" item. The cuts in the top of the mag. tube and bottom of the barrel would have to be opened to accept the new screw. 1886.

Thanks 86'r for this info.
A small round Jewelers file does the trick for opening up
those notches. I had to open up the notches
just ever so slightly for the rear band screw.
