OT- Simply Rugged Holsters

Post by 336A »

Well I finally did it the other day, I ordered my first quality leather holster from Simply Rugged for my S&W M10 :D I was going to get a Mernickle but I like the added protection that the Sourdough pancake holster offers better. So to tide me over until my holster gets here can anyone here that has a Sourdough post pics of your simplyrugged rig for me to drool over?

No pics; I've got one on order, too. I have a Silver Dollar Pancake of his for my M63 and it is one of my favorites. Rob is a first class guy, too.
You will be pleased with yours!

Yes, I'm a big fan of Simply Rugged holsters. They are my main (95%+) carry holster for the PPPPPP. (Pistol Packin' Preacher's Perfect Packin' Pistol) Here's a couple shots of the PPPPPP in the Simply Rugged Pancake Holster with Inside Out straps installed. First shot with flash, second with available light. The PPPPPP is an INDUMIL built Llama Cassidy in 38 Special with a 4" barrel.

I'm with Paul. I've got several of Rob's holsters. All good 'uns. I've got 'em for the NV, the DS, the Bearcat, the 642, the OA and so on. You'll likely be very satisfied.
Sincerely,

Hobie

wearing one now, like Paul's but with a 2" K frame in it. it's very comfortable. you'll like it a lot.

got my wife one for her J but she doesn't care for the high side style of carry, and the inside loops still position it too high for her. I'm going to put J-hooks on it and see if that suits her better.

I have one for my redhawk but not liking the size of that rig so much. Got it for cross draw carry in the bear woods so doesn't get worn a lot. It's hard to get a stiff enough belt to support the size and weight on my shrinking frame.

Rob's got a lot of customers on this board.

Yep, a woman's body is far different from a man's (thank God!) and their tastes in holsters and such tend to be a bit different. Maybe we should ask Rob to get his wife to help him design a good CCW holster for the lady folk...

Somehow, I think Jan does give Rob some input...

I figured they were refinished factory Rugers but I recalled SK doing some of them a few years ago for some of the guys on the forum. IIRC he was slimming them down, installing case heads and refinishing them. Anyway, your's look nice. :)

Rob's holsters do everything a holster is required to do as good as any and better than most. They are simple and rugged as the name implies. YOu will like yours...a bunch.

Nice riggin Jeff. Have a picture with you involved? I'd like to see the working version. I guess that'd stir 'em up in open carry states like kalifornia....

Thanks for all of the replies and pictures folks. My holster was waiting for me last night when I got home from work, and it is better than I imagined it would be. Rob just earned another dedicated long term customer :D
