Well I haven't been able to dive into reloading all at once nor have I been able to really gain much ground in the real recent months. But, I got a tumbler this last weekend and will be getting some media friday(fingers crossed). I guess all that I am really missing right now is a case trimmer. It's on the list. So last night I decided to to take a crack at it with the tools I have already. Here I have 100 peices of Magtech .45LC brass sized/decapped and primer pockets cleaned. I sized the first box last night and the second tonight as well as all the pockets. All the brass checked in spec for length(yeah!). So, if it all goes well I will be able to bang together some loads Friday night and head to the paper Saturday. I hope so, it's(handloading) been an itch I've had for awhile now especially since I haven't been shooting lately.
Ain't my fancy reloading bench cool or what?

Nice thing about reloading is that as you add more tools, you often find continued uses for the ones you already acquired. They go from generalized to specialized, but still get used.
For example, I use my Lee hand press - same one you have there - to pop primers while sitting with the family watching TV. Heck, I usually pack it along with a whole bunch of "reclaimed brass" (i.e. - stuff I get being a "brass vulture") with me on vacation, and have been known to sit by the pool popping primers! I seldom load full cartridges with it now, saving the next steps for a press mounted on a bench, but it is still very handy to have.
I started out with a LEE Hand Press and still use it for all my .444 Marlin reloading (start to finish). Several guys that come out to our range and experiment with various loads use a LEE Hand Press right at the shooting bench. I do use a bench mounted RCBS Press for reloading .30-30 and .30-06 but since I don't shoot that much .444 Marlin it is just as easy to use the LEE Hand Press.
