Need help price of gun..see pic's

Post by major »

I have a Marlin 917V in 17HMR with bull barrel that is good shape with 6x18 BSA Sweet 17 scope that is calibrated for the 17HMR out to 300 yards.I used the gun to hunt yote's when I lived in UTAH since I moved to TN haven't had a need for it anymore, going to get a henry 22lr was wondering if anymore might now what a fair price for the gun would bring.....I'm pretty sure this was the first year production of this gun but not certain I bought it as soon as they became availible in my area......deadly on yote's out to 200yrds. sorry for the pictures not being that sharpe haven't figured out how to make them fit without losing the quility...any help would be useful....

Best guess based on gunbroker listings $250. But I hate to tell you - the one's on gunbroker aren't selling... might not be the best time to sell that?

I'm just saying what I saw on gunbroker. You may have good luck putting it on consignment at your local dealer's or listing on Auction Arms or heck, try listing it here in the classifieds. You never know. If you have some ammo to throw in, that'd help...

I just bought a mint used 917V with no scope in a local shop for $150.00 out the door. He had it tagged for $175.00 The BSA's don't seem to hold much resale value. I'm guessing around $200 would be a good price.

I've read that Marlin farms out all their 17 HMR barrels, so I don't think it would affect the value.
