My bookmark failed also. I went to an old bookmark from a former changeover and it poped right up. :D

Guys, the server that leverguns.com is on is down with disk problems. Tech support is on it, they've been doing all kinds of stuff since last night - so far no go. Hopefully it'll be back up soon. I've got a BUNCH of sites on that server - yes my nails are getting shorter by the hour...

All I see where kimwcook's avatar should be is "User avatar". Oh, wait--now there's a box with an indication that there should be a picture there. Oh, now it's gone again. Now I'm confused!

The server's been down since yesterday. They've been trying to resurrect it and keep hitting the wall. They've completely replaced the RAID and are now rebuilding the file system. A whole slew of our sites are down... :(

As noted above, the server's been down since yesterday. Tech support has been working on it, but the situation is such that several hardware failures combined to nearly nuke everything. ON top of which their backup system didn't do so correctly. Thank God we moved this forum to a new server before this all happened - or I'd be pulling my hair out. :) On the other hand, I'll be having to do over anything done since Dec 2 it sounds like. They ARE going to give us some months of free hosting for our trouble and move us to brand new hardware with an improved backup system if we want (we want) - but in the meantime we're still down.

I thought this was a thread about being over 50!

I couldn't access the site since Friday through my regular bookmark which is leverguns.com. Later I tried a link to a thread, and I got right on. So now I'm using levergunscommunity.com.

Is that the real url, or a temporary one?

http://www.leverguns.com is Paco Kelly's website.

http://www.levergunscommunity.com is Paco Kelly's forum.

The difference is - the website is where you go to read Paco (and others') articles and to get static information on leverguns and such. The forum is where you come to hang out, ask questions, chew the fat, argue politics (on the correct forum, of course) and build up post counts, etc. etc. etc.... So, using http://www.levergunscommunity.com is the way to reach the forum. It's the one you should have in your favorites - unless you prefer to use "active topics" or some other such page to access the forum.

It started "Friday the 13th"... spooky!

I couldn't get onto the forum all weekend. Much to my relief, as I was going through heavy leverguns withdraw symptoms (which are very painful), I was able to log on this morning. Now a little thing called work is interfering with me catching up!

Well, it was just the leverguns.com site (along with several related sites) that was affected - not the forum which is now on its own server, independent of the other sites. The new place lets us do a complete backup every 30 days (they run it, we just download it) so I plan to do so. The other server company is switching to a better system which should eliminate the type of problem we had this past weekend. I'm still shoveling to dig out from the messup - we lost any changes made since December 2... Such is life - we will survive though. At least until it's time for us to "shuffle off this mortal coil"... :D

It should be up and running. I'll have to rebuild the ACU'RZR page again probably. Hope I kept everything... Never trust a server - always keep a backup. I'm not paranoid - they really ARE out to get me...
