Okay fellas, after agonizing over which tang sight to mount on my Taylor's & Co M1876 .45-60 for WAY too long I'm finally ready to plunk money down. Which one would you opt for ?

EF,
I put the Marble's sight on a Uberti 1876. I realy like the sight. I did have to D&T the tang.

The thing I don't like about the Marble's is the base...Until I put a magnet to it I thought it was anodized aluminum.. The bluing just doesn't look right to me...Looks more like powder coating or something...I'd go with sight number two.. More period correct.. Mebbe spring for a windgage front sight if needed...

I went with the Marble's on my Taylor's 1876 45-60. The original stem was too short though, and sight adjustment topped out at less than 200 meters. I cured this by ordering an "extra tall" stem from Buffalo Arms and installed it myself. range is now good out to 350+ meters. I have done this stem conversion on several of my rifles equipped with the Marble's tang sight. Here is a previous post on how to:

What attracts me most to the Marbles is the windage adjustability, and at a reasonable price. The Riflesmith tang sights are very nicely done but are kinda pricey...
