OT--Its Not Easy Being A Teamster

Post by Sixgun »

Fellow Shootists,
Things have got so bad at work, I am starting to document the harsh conditions we must endure. Watch for me at a Congressional hearing. --------------------Sixgun

Not only those horrible bright lights to shield your eyes from! Those terrible work conditions include a missing lug nut on that fork lift!! You had better include that in your congressional hearing. LOL!

Geoff,
Good catch on the lug nut! They put new "sneakers" on my lift a couple of weeks ago and the guy stripped one real good. We are still waiting for him to fix it.

Marlinman, Yep, cold floor. The company took out our "warm mat" clause out of the last contract. :D

Dude Jr., You watch yo pappa! This is how a union man "works"

And never forget that if you don't like the way they spend your union dues you can request a refund of that portion of your dues that goes to political candidates, at least here in Fla. I know cause I helped my BIL draft his letter.

Pretty good!! A U.S. company using a foreign made fork-lift to drive them out of business. And Union supported no less. :)

That's ok. They did the same thing in my union -- IBEW.

Ha! Your right kid! I have 36 years and he has 17. I am #5 in plant seniority and #2 in my dept. Its just me and two other guys in a 200,000 sq' "satellite warehouse", away from the main plant.---no boses--only a radio but...................our rotten management has everything with firearms involved on our computers filtered. That last photo looks like the company has been badly overworking you. I'd file a grievance.

The place where we pick up soda pop has a loader that's into Kimbers. He has one in .243. every time I see him I ask him if he started reloading yet. He says when he wants to go shooting he just goes to Wally World on the way to the range.

OS, good thing you moved when you did. Truck drivers tell me it has turned into the "Mecca of All Toilets. The "Murder Capital of The World", Camden, NJ is not far from there, as you know.

Florence/Roebling is a pleasant little community that has not changed too much in 50 Years. Camden is a different deal - more like central Philly.

DBW,
Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhh, I see. If your ever in the Pa. area picking up a load of soda pop in your KW, please introduce yourself. I'll give you new meaning to the word, "wait". I'll make sure you get plenty of use out of your sleeper, TV, microwave, cell phone, magazines, fuel to run the heater, generator, etc. In fact, you will have to pay rent on the dock door because you will be there at least three days.

Yea boys, we have to do that from time to time. :D -------------Sixgun

I have worked for Toyota Industrial Equipment dealers for 23 years. Sixgun is sitting on a 7FGCU25, 7 series with SAS, gas engine, cushion tires, made in the USA, 5000lb capacity. They are made in Columbus, IN.

Way to many years doing this. Wished I could get paid as well for shooting.

Don, THANKS for reporting that the lift I use was made in this great nation. I must admit that driving forklifts for 36 years, they have come a long way from the old Clarks I drove in the seventies. These new Toyotas are the cats meow. They really fly! :D

Here's another pic of the Toyota's with my buddy "Coon Dog" standing next to it.--------Sixgun

Sixgun... these pictures just reminded me of a joke one of my co-workers likes to tell. We of course both work for the state.

"There are three little boys talking and bragging about their fathers. The first little boy say "My dad's a Fireman, and he's so fast.. when they get to a fire he jumps off the truck and starts pulling hose before the other fireman even get their door open."

The second little boy says, "Oh yeah? Well my dad's a cop, and he's so fast, one time a bad guy had a three block head start, and he ran those three blocks and tackled the guy before the bad guy ever knew what hit him!"

And the third little boy said.. "Oh yeah? That's nothin'. My dad's a state worker. And he's so fast... he don't get off work till 6:00, but he's home every day by 5:15!"
:P
Slow is just slow.
