Come on all of you Marlin experts, I need some advice on this rifle on Gunbroker. The clock is ticking.I have always wanted a 25-20 shooter. This is a nice rifle but I don't want to pay out the nose either

If it's NIB, then it's still too high once you add in shipping and transfer fees. $500 for a used one, in excellent condition, is fair.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

I'll respectfully disagree with jdad re: the $500 price. I'll admit that $695 seems a touch high, but the .25-20s are not at all easy to find. I've seen only a couple for sale in the last two or three years I've been looking. His comments are spot on for a .32-20, but the .25-20 and (gasp) .218 Bee 1894CLs command a premium. If you want one, you need to decide to either pay the tariff or patiently wait in hopes another pops up for less money.

Just my two cents, and probably not worth that much.

I agree with Cub. I can count on one hand the number of 25-20 1894CLs that I've seen in the past 10 years. This is one of those guns that if you buy it at $695, you may have "paid too soon" but IMO not that much too soon.

Might as well face it, you're addicted to guns . . .

I paid $580 last July on Gunbroker for a 99% (never fired , no box) Shipping and dealer charges added $60. I think I got off cheap. I have only seen one other in the last few years.

Several years ago I saw a very clean Win mod 92 in 25-20 out at quartzsite sell for $1100!!!!!!! Blue Book price 95%=$2500,90%=$1995,80%=$1650;70%=$1250,60%=$875,50%=$625,40%=$450 at GunBroker it's been checked out thoroughly & is probably in the 55% range of condition as the price is a bit low for Excellent Condition.I'd really want to see it and check it out before making a purchase.

I'd sell my 1894cl 25-20 for $500. I'll put it in the classifieds if Boreman doesn't want it. Got a NIB 32-20 too. They're the older ones without checkering. Dave

Those 25-20 CL's are hard to find. I got one one on Broker about 1 1/2 or so years ago, NIB, for 525.00, The exception to the rule I felt even then. If you really want one, and this one for 695 is perfect and new from a good seller, probably not the worse deal you will ever make. Sure nice little rifles.
